I watch a lot of chess videos, and this is one of the most useful video I have seen. At my skill level I could not see these moves in my games, so I am going to memorize these moves. That effort dhould improve my skill at visualization.

In the past few years, I followed the Beginner path and I am now tackling the Improver one. Chessfactor is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to learn in a more structured but flexible way! At the end of the summary, you say that one should calculate everything carefully. I can never see myself calculating all the possible lines in the second example, and it feels that such calculations would be hard for anyone under say 1800 FIDE (complete guesstimate). Do you have any advice/video for improving calculations at a low level?

The rook move was very instructive. I would have never thought of it

That second example was way more complicated than the first. Would have appreciated a slower pace with the second example.

Consider the 90 positions in 9LX where you have to move a rook on 1 side to castle on the other side. What to do about castling then when you can't seem to keep your 'poker face' up re the video 'When to DELAY Castling in Chess!!' (5lVvs0JB5ME) ? See 'How many Chess960 positions exist in which castling on 1 side does not require moving the rook on the other side?' On Chess Stack Exchange
