Basic Bodice With Waist Snatching

This is a very Detailed tutorial on how to get the waist snatching effect on the Bodice pattern .
This pattern is extra close fitted , the waist darts tend to decrease your waist measurement on the pattern which in turn, compresses your waist line and give you the snatched look effect . Kindly make sure you use a very strong zipper for this bodice!!

Hi. The very 1st link you provided doesnt work. I dont know if that was the one where you showed us how to take the measurements. Im having an issue with the "Back Waist" length vs the "nape waist" length. Can you explain the difference, google shows them to both be the same thing. Thank you!

Please just want to confirm for primces darr bustier once the front armhole is either equal or less than the back by 0.25 i dont need to contour the armhole for the princess line coming from the armhole to the bust point

I actually had same experience the front was tending towards the back perhaps I think it is because she came down by 2 for the shoulder slope measurement. Please cillia si kindly clarify this confusion

Yes I have had that experience too that’s why I always advice you make a toile see the fit and make necessary adjustments When I am working with clients I usually just use 1½ for both the front and the back as the shoulder slope so try that

Just thinking also if one make both the front and back armhole depth to be at same level maybe it could help solve the challenge of the front moving to the back. There are different ways of drafting a basic bodice this method works for me So I use it sll the time . As long as you sure your front armhole dept is accurate then I would say try the 1½ inches shoulder slope As I said I use 1½ for my clients basically Also my online class will be coming up soon so you can be part of it . I will be giving more information when it comes to patterns drafting
