Charlie Reddick You can order chicks or eggs for hatching online. The chicks can survive transport because they need a day or two after hatching to dry off and for their bones to harden so they have some yolk left inside them to live off of.

I guess it's universal that they're mean. 😆 We pap ours in the butt with a fly-swatter when we see them acting up. 😂 We have the speckled ones too. Everyone thinks chickens are dirty and will give you diseases- they're not. Hens are sweet little pets with tons of personality. We have 14 hens and a rooster, and although the rooster's a jerk the hens are amazing. They lay eggs too, and fresh eggs are great for eating and selling. They're also not hard to upkeep, one bag of food keeps them going for ages and there's nothing truly expensive about them. Even getting just one is nice, they're good company. I wouldn't suggest keeping them in the house as I don't believe they can be house trained and will poop alot, but making a little area for it is nice and they can learn lots of tricks while not needing too much attention. I love chickens :)

Well, my grandparents have a chicken farm (for eggs only) and some chicken are really smart. Some are dumb, some are bullies, some are loners, some are selfless. A lot like people. I spent a lot of time with them when I was a kid, I named each one. But when my best chicken friend died after 10 years of raising her I didn't want such heartbreak again... But still, I NEVER EAT CHICKEN.

They are actually really easy to get. Get yourself a little incubator, order some hatching eggs online, wait ~month and you have your little peepers. Just make sure to do your research for *all* stages of their lives. For example, you *need* to turn their eggs while they are incubating, 3 times a day, or get an incubator that will do it for you. None of it is hard to do, it's just important to actually do it.
