The bearring is shielded, why are you appling oil on that, without removing the shield? This only attracts dirt.

I much rather clean the fish. Perhaps thats why my Calcutta 200 the spool doesnt lock, pull line out & the handle turns counterclockwise like the real old baitcasters. I had it looked @ & after $25 its still the same. 😡 Fed up with the local baitshop/ reel repair guy. Anyone knows why its doing that. ? Thanks for the imformative video & thank God for Abus Garcia's Ambassedeur baitcasting reels.THEY NEVER BREAK.👌

I have Calcutta 201D, after i am take of 2 screw i can't open reel to see spoole witch line...maybe you know what is the reason?

Honestly you want a small amount of oil inside the pinion gear between it and the spool shaft...

Hello. I have only put oil on the parts I explained in the video. There are parts that will take grease but that is something I would send my reel in to Shimano for. They do a more detailed cleaning. I have only done this basic cleaning after fishing trips with oil.

Just the regular reel oil that came with the reel. Any tackle shop will have reel oil though.
