Just a slight expansion on your saturation, saturation go from (color) to grey. Your example is more like tint, which is from (color) to white. There's definitely overlap for sure. Yay, I love color theory! 🎉

The other day I color picked a bright sunset from my photo and I kept getting a GRAY color. I was sure this was incorrect. Then I started painting over the sun with it and I’ll be….the bright glowing yellow sun was in fact…..gray.
