I was born in Mainland China but grewup in New Zealand, my Mandarin though not terrible isn't perfect either, these videos help me improve my vocabulary, I can pronounce things almost perfectly like a native speaker but I don't know as much vocab as I would like.

That was super good. Usually I can buy my drinks in Seven and also asks for a xi guan or some kuai zi to eat and drink, but as soon as they ask for membership and all that stuff Im completely lost. My wife hasnt returned to Taiwan a long time and at first also didnt know what zai ju is : )

Totally understandable! Had the similar problem, too, before! As the clerk always spoke quite fast 🥲😂😅 And yes, “載具（carrier)” is new for lots people, too! Hope the video is help! 😌☺️

I was so confused few years ago when zai ju first came out too! And I have never left this place! I mean, there WAS a point when all Taiwanese were talking about this new stuff, and we all learned and adapted together real fast, which left the out-of-country people struggling when they are back.

At 5:39 I could not find Xiè luō in a Mandarin dictionary. I discovered that traditional (not simplified) characters are used in the video. All I know is that Xiè means "to thank".

hey Emma, and Easy Mandarin team. I just wanna say firstly I love your content and thanks so much. I have a suggestion though In a lot of your videos, the host speaks slowly and really unnaturally, so we can understand you. But in my opinion, it makes it harder to understand what you are saying when you speak in that way. It's ok if you speak a little slower, but you should try maintain a natural rythm and cadence. But right now it's sort of monotone and hard to understand. Just my opinion :)

Oh, very challenge for freshmen! Cannot detect if it is Zhuyin or Pinyin!!!! Using the word "Mandarin" will make reader/listener confuse because there are 2 types: Chinese Mandarin and Taiwanese Mandarin. Without noticing, it would be waste time to follow this channel!
