I have some questions :- 1. If I use only a 4 inch woofer and connect it to an amplifier, I am getting good sound then why a Tweeter and Woofer are used together in a speaker box ? 2. In 2.1 home theater systems, there is two small speakers (3 inches) used for left and right channels and one woofer (4 inches) is used unlike the music system speaker boxes where there's one tweeter and woofer for each channel connected in parallel, how low and high frequencies are divided in this case ? 3. If I want to make a speaker system box of 50 watts @4 ohms what should be the wattage for tweeter and woofer ?

I have some questions - 1. I am getting good sound with all voice, bass and high frequencies with a 4" subwoofer extracted from old television having impedance of 8 ohms and a 4" 4 ohms Subwoofer extracted from a home theater system. Then why should we use tweeter and woofer with a crossover circuit if we get good sound from a single subwoofer ? 2. If a subwoofer is used as speaker with any amplifier will it get damaged ? 3. If I want to build a speaker system box of 50 watts 4 ohms, what speaker should be used for high and low frequency and what should be the wattage if two way system is to be made ?

For your first question yes you can use that, but it is gonna reduce your speaker life drastically, using a subwoofer for higher frequencies means really high vibration and subwoofers are manufactured with a membrane which will get punctured when those frequencies are played.

For two way sterio system you can use one speaker (8 ohm) and a woofer (4 ohm). Use an active low pass filter (OP-Amp based) to filter out the higher frequencies for the woofer. While give direct amplified signal to the speaker.
