Seeing your family flying out of JFK to Europe reminds me of my childhood. My mother took my two sisters and me to Yugoslavia in the early to mid-70s on Pan Am to visit family. The Pan Am Worldport used to exist where the Delta terminal now stands. I'm sure your boys will have the same memories of flying that I still have. Good times.

It seems like, just from sight alone, an economy seat on an intercontinental flight is similar to a premium economy seat onboard a domestic flight. I could be totally wrong though

Thanks for the info on the plane vs the other delta plane. Searching for flights to Italy for me and my wife for September. We flew there 2 years ago business on business we’re looking to save money and spend the extra cash there. Tickets are not as cheap as Lufthansa economy flex but watching the video and the 2 seat comparison on delta the 400 bucks more is worth it IMO, seams very appealing to us. Food looks better too! Thank you for your feedback, glad you found it helpful. We just flew back on Virgin Atlantic from London and our best advice is to pick your airline with the aircraft. As of now, A330-900neo is an amazing aircraft with new seats and great entertainment screens but the same airline, route and price on an older Boeing 777 or 787 may not be as nice. Saw you just have hand luggage. My favorite part is when at the gate they ask for carry ons to be checked. It saves you hassle especially if your bag is heavy.

Hi Deepal, thank you for your comment. We noticed that with US airlines (Delta, United, American etc.) They are much more open to and friendly with us recording the crew. Some even pose for the camera. While our flights on Transavia Airlines, KLM etc. had special announcement that asked anyone not to film the crew due to privacy.

Thank you. Although we don’t pay for seats. What we do is check in the moment we can on any airline. That allows us to get first dibs on the open seats. In this case, when we checked in, they assigned us the seats together. We have tried this on Delta, KLM, Emirates, American, United, Transavia, Spirit, Frontier, Air Canada, Swiss, Norse Atlantic etc. it mostly works and very rarely we sit far away.

We booked through agency a trip from Italy to america and I am scared of Flying my Nightmare Is that they sit US in different seats . The agency told me It Is very unlikely to happen since It Is One booking for the 3 of us . Let's Hope

@christianaddattilo5604 does your booking show the seat numbers. If not, as soon as your check-in opens, usually 48 or 24 hours in advance, go to the app and check-in. We always have this fear but try not to pay for seats. Best of luck and safe travels

Thank you for.your comment and glad you liked the video. If you meant to write that you are 1.85 meters (6 feet) than I believe the economy chair will work. Any taller and the economy seat maybe too snug. Hope this helps

Flying delta in October of 2024 from Atlanta to Amsterdam. I have a basic economy 💺 seat I'm six feet tall should I be concerned😮?

First of all, your trip sounds great. We miss Amsterdam. As for seat, I believe you should be ok especially with the recline. Just in case you may want to check the website for exact seat measurements for the aircraft you are booked on. We flew A330-900 with newer seats but others can vary. Hope this helps

We are doing a similar flight in august and currently have the row in front of this- we are wondering if the bathroom is very loud right there? We have a very light sleeper and are wondering if we should move further from the bathrooms or if they won’t be too loud there

Excellent question. Our flight was fairly good but yes, it can get loud at times with people going in and out constantly at certain times of the flight. If you are a light sleeper then we recommend to move up.

Hi @wirinkandhai1822 The best part about Delta was that we were able to select our seats a week in advance even for these Basic economy seats. At the time of purchasing the tickets we were not able to select our seats. And We don’t have any status with Delta anymore so we were very pleasantly surprised as well. Thank you. Delta generally is really good and easy going about hand baggage. And in our experience for this particular flight, since it was not fully packed, there was plenty of available room in storage bins above.

No, the trolleys (carryon roller bags) were included in our cheap tickets. The tickets at the point of purchase stated carryon bags will be included in the price of the tickets

Yes, it’s a newer plane and we enjoyed the economy experience. We just flew on Virgin Atlantic Airbus a330-900neo and the experience was similar although we enjoyed Delta better overall considering the same aircraft and newer seats/layout

We didn’t pay for the meals. That is very interesting. Can you share you to and from destinations. I always have a meal on all Delta flights no matter which ticket type. When we flew on Norse Airways, we had an option to skip meal and save $200 which we happily did. Curious about your flight

If you Re flexible on dates, then you have better chance of looking for cheap tickets. We use Google flights for most of our tickets. In addition we use an app called FareDrop by Kara and Nate (youtubers) that also have great deals. For London, check out Norse Atlantic for a deal. Its a new airline and they run promotions from time to time.

Great question! As a family of 4, anytime we get to fly in a wide body (Boeing 767, Airbus A350, etc) we love booking the 4 seats in the middle of the plane so we all can be together. Anytime else, we take window seats

Love their customer service. Very courteous. This goes for both ground and flight crew. The economy seats we tried had great recline but we do believe Boeing Dreamliners has overall better recline. The Airbus A330-900 was comfortable enough but when we tried took KLM 787-9 on the return, that was the Best

Our flight was back in November 2022 and not many people were wearing masks. Since then we have flown more than 15 times and out of a 100 travelers l, maybe 5-10 have masks. On our recent flight to Quito Ecuador, I think I saw 1 person with mask on. Hopefully that was helpful

Great question. No we are not rich by any means but we do have a knack for hunting for deals and we stay within budget (mostly cook our meals and don’t shop etc). One of our favorite deals was buying 4 round trip tickets from New York City to Orlando for $59 total on Frontier airlines. Our recent trip to Ecuador was $1,100 for 4 round trip on Avianca. We also mostly travel with personal items only and never pay for seats. Same with our cruise, our last one on Royal Caribbean was $1,850 for 4 on Anthem of the seas. Hope this helps

Hi @Marcopi72, we had heard similar feedback so we went with our caution hat on. The whole family loved the meal. We compared it to KLM which was pretty good and TAP airlines which was great JFK to LIS but really bad LIS to JFK. The breakfast option was good as well and the eggs were nicely done in the English muffin. Do you know what you ate on Delta? Maybe we can avoid that in future ;)
