Nobody is putting out as much high-quality, long-format content as you brother. Thanks for the info.

Recently subbed. Thank you for the high quality videos. If you're putting all this wisdom out there for free, I can't imagine how much knowledge you impart on your students in your classes. A heart of a teacher for sure.

So much valuable information for the price of a commercial. What a great person, providing an amazing service to his country and fellow patriots. (gonna have to get off my ass and donate one of these days).

Hand-held light is definitely EDC. I don’t carry with a WML, though. I’ve definitely got one on my home defense set-up. All of them, actually. Maybe I should look into a holster for it lol
@StellarSecurityServices2 жыл бұрын
Your default light should have a wrist lanyard so you can just let go and transition to the WML.

In preparation for some low light work, I did a deep dive into your videos. I'm amazed. Can't think of another instructor posting the quantity and definitely not the quality that you are. I'm curious, how does this play into your business plan? Is it exposure? Regardless, thank you and I hope our paths cross in the near future.

Aaron, again, another awesome video. Thanks for putting them out there. How do you carry your Surefire Fury Intellibeam on a daily basis? I am assuming you use a holster of some kind.
@SageDynamics9 жыл бұрын
I do. Just tuck it bezel up in my back pocket.

Prometheus Lights (darksucks.com) makes a good titanium pocket clip which works well on the Fury.

Two questions: 1) what do you think about using a WML as a flashlight and mounting it to the gun when/if necessary? Too much monkey motion ? and 2) I had an instructor explain the advantages of the Miyamoto Musashi two sword technique as it applies to having both lights and using a crossed wrist technique (9:02) to illuminate multiple threats/ non-threats ? thanks again for the great info, I'm glad I stumbled upon your KZbin channel ! Also, I'm F***ing there next time you come to USSA to train for the non-LEO crowd.

Well shit. What if you’re in on the second floor of a populated office building and there is enough of a perceived threat to be using your handgun... then you just muzzle the ceiling anyways?
@SageDynamics4 жыл бұрын
itsme jack no, you would use baseboard lighting. Which is addressed in the video.
@getfragged70514 жыл бұрын
SageDynamics bur then you’re potentially muzzling the people on the first floor. It was really just a joke because technically you’re potentially unknowingly muzzling someone if you point your weapon in any direction so at that point you just keep your finger off trigger.

What would be a quality weapon mounted light for a Beretta Px4 Storm compact pistol? The barrel of this pistol is not as long as a Beretta 92FS is. The pistol is as about as large as a Glock 19 (It may be a little smaller, it's been a while since I held a Glock 19). So is the barrel length (It could be a fraction shorter). I want that light to blind any intruder who dares intrude my house. And what do you think about the LaserMax Spartan Weapon Light Mint Green LED with Laser Sight light?? If anyone can help me, I would be grateful. :)

It’s been 3 years since you commented so idk if you’re still looking, but the Streamlight TLR-1 HL is a great option. It’s what I use, and I love it. 1000 lumens, 20,000 candela, 1.5hr runtime, both constant light and strobing capabilities, and features very intuitive controls. Cost about $130, and worth every penny. If you’re wanting something even better, wait for the Cloud Defensive pistol lights to drop. Many more lumens, many more candela, etc. Just be prepared to pay a good amount more.

If you have time to respond to this...: I've noticed you have fiber optic sights on a lot of your handguns. I've always been in the dogma that night sights are mandatory. After viewing your slew of videos about lights, I'm starting to doubt that NS are important, provided one uses a WML and a handheld. Do you think that night sights are slightly over rated if one uses good, quality lights in their EDC? Thanks!
@SageDynamics9 жыл бұрын
Night sights are only useful in two situations; in the 25-40 minutes of natural twilight every day and helping you find a gun on the night stand in total darkness; they provide no value at all with a WML/ handheld in use. If you need a glow to see your sights, you probably can't see your target.

+SageDynamics Hey awesome; that's kind of what I'm starting to put together. Thanks a lot for your videos. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

why do you say "unfortunately if you have an APL"?
@SageDynamics9 жыл бұрын
In my experience Inforce products do not last. I've broken many WMLs and seen APLs go down in many classes.
