Hi, Viktor! I love this video especially the good presentation of each position. If you allow me I would like to share this video with skaters in a local community in Korea where I teach basic skills(under non-profit). I hope you could find an option for this video that allows others to contribute with translating subtitles.

Thank you, Viktor! I just bought 3x3 125m inlane skates. Hopefully, with your lessons, tips and exercises I would learn HOW to skate, because up to now it looks terrible plus I see that I have no control of skate movement.

Do you know good drills for gliding on the outside of blade? I often see world champs glide on the outside of the blade prior to balance and fall into next stride. Looks awesome, I tried it but it's hard to practice.

Thanks for this video. My boys (6 and 7) have been figure skating 3 years. They both want to start speed skating. They are great on ice skates, but roller bladed only once. The youngest can't roller blade at all. (which confuses me as they are so good ice skating). I have them in a roller blading camp meeting once a week. What sort of off ice training would you recommend to help prepare them for speed skating?
@mikkorajakangas53036 жыл бұрын
I know it's none of my business, but I can't help but wonder what's this about roller blades since speed skating happens on ice (unless, of course, you're talking about inline speed skating)...
@thorupviktor5 жыл бұрын
Glad you could use it! I think off ice workouts are similar in many ways for both inline and ice skaters. When preparing for ice skating, you would want to do more statical exercises and generally work more with lactic acid than inline skaters. Turn cable and slideboard, could come in handy here :)

Hola. Cuántos ejercicios por sesión de entrenamiento? cuantas series, cuantas repeticiones y cuanto tiempo de descanso entre cada una?

Thank u! How many times and sets? I should do
@thorupviktor5 жыл бұрын
I recommend 30 seconds exercises, followed by 30 seconds jog. Through all exercises and then repeat. Start with a few sets, but advance to 90-120 seconds on and 60 seconds off. Possibly 4-5 sets later on :)

Should I be taking breaks between these exercises? And if so, for how long and how many sets and reps should I be trying?
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
That really depends what you're looking to get out of it. If you're new to dryland, you should have a good rest between each exercise and put the technique above anything. If you have sufficient experience and are looking to build muscle endurrance or get a cardio workout out of it, you may just go through it as a single set :)
