Tacky Glue is better for quilling in my experience. I think it holds better and faster than school glue. Good job. I've been quilling for a yr now and have tried different glues. Also you can buy a mini paper strip shredder to cut your own paper. I do that and buy premade ones that I can't find a certain color. Happy Quilling!

I'm watching your video because I found a quilling kit at my local "dollar store" for a couple euro. I figured it would be a cool way to make some christmas cards and learn something new at the same time. Kits like this are a great way to jump into something without spending a lot.

So nice. Thank you very much - because of this video, I'm no longer intimidated by the art of quilling because I was wondering if there was an actually *easy* way to make the heart and "S" shapes. I really appreciate your info - but, can you please make another video which shows how to make "other" shapes if you haven't made one already? Again, thanks bunches for this video. Keep crafting, please.

Thanks for the tips, I’ve done lots of quilling but I’ve learned a lot from you. Thanks. The cutest things I ever made were two pictures of little Victorian houses made from balsa wood and quilling paper. I moved into a different home and somehow the framed pictures disappeared. I loved those little houses but I have a feeling my husband tossed them in the trash. I made them from a kit that I bought from a company that sold kits and supplies. I have never seen anything like it since, I probably bought the kits back in the late’70s. They used yellow quilling paper for siding, black roofing and white trim for the bric a brac on the porch. Have you ever seen anything like that? I would sure like to make them again. .

Would it be easier to wrap the strip around the cup you traced, maybe 2 layers....then glue it to your drawn circle?....It made me so nervous just to watch you struggle, it seemed so fiddly, to have to mess with it,like that But that is probably just me, other than the circle part,I think I will like trying this, thank you!

Also, you replied to a comment below that it took you several evenings to complete the "shamrocks" in your video. Will you please let me know why that is so? Was it because of having to let individual pieces dry before moving on to the next ones? If so, which pieces had to dry and what piece(s) did you make first? Thanks for any and all advice. Keep crafting. 😊
@MultiplicityCrafts
@MultiplicityCrafts 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Curtrice, Thank you for your kind comments. 😊 You'd asked a couple of questions... first off, the shamrock piece took me a while to make as a whole since I quilled a ton of tiny circles for the rainbow in the finished piece. The shamrocks took me just a few minutes each - they are super easy and the glue dries quickly also. But the rainbow took quite some time. Also, yes, I'd be happy to plan another future video to show how to make other shapes. Thanks again for your encouragement! Hugs, Maranda

Hi Tina, You could use construction paper but it would be a lot more challenging to manage since it does not have the stability of cardstock. If you use cardstock, I would recommend a 60 pound. Have lots of fun creating. I hope to produce more quilling videos this year. :)

@@MultiplicityCrafts Thank you for getting back to me and letting me know. Also will a electric straight cut paper shredder work for the correct cut and length?
@MultiplicityCrafts
@MultiplicityCrafts 4 жыл бұрын
Tina Jarvis yes, it should work great. Most paper shredders cut evenly and at the approximate thickness you would want for quilling, but if you run into trouble you can either cut your own on a paper trimmer or order pre-cut quilling strips.
