Great tip about the line that needs to be up in the head of the boom. Never knew this! And what a time/ frustration saver! Keep these tips coming mr gibb! Thank you....

Great videos! Very thourough and enjoyable to watch. Can you please do an advanced rigging guide, like how to set the battons, how to know how much downward tension should be applied, etc. ? Thank you!

At 7:57 the uphaul stays on the right side of the sail. Isn't it a little bit uncomfortable to get the sail up from the left side?

Guy...best rigging video, this actually thought me that my equipment was left hand forward for rig up, good thing both my sail and boom are like even though they are different brand and that my extension is not.

Great stuff. Super helpful. Even for a 35 year windsurfer (experience rather than age unfortunately) i learned quite a bit. Keep em coming. Subscribed!

Great 👍 Video. Thank you. I learned things that I didn’t think that I could improve before. At the end you could show in a bit closer. It was a bit difficult to follow how you tightened the line to the boom. Subscribed

Good videos thanks. At 6:28 about frayed dyneema rope; a hot soldering iron can fix it, cut off frayed bit with soldering iron and melt end a bit more. The main trouble being remembering to get round to fixing it before next session. [ Obviously take care to let iron cool down again in safe place, non flammable ]

My kit from 2005 is looking a bit old compared your shinny sails.

Use a slip knot with the slip being the trailing line to the mast base rather than a bowline. That way you can easily untie it and adjust it.

Better yet, use Marlinspike Hitch

There is a better down hauling knot. Loop, then over then over under over with the stick/bar/what ever.

Clove hitch? Every sailor have to know the clove hitch
@Hotwire_RCTrix4 жыл бұрын
@@jaryH3 Not really, I don't know if this knot has a name. You twist a loop and lay it back over itself, then weave the stick over then under and over again. It grabs but doesn't tighten and then slips back out.
