When I was a young teenager I played the Harmonica and I loved it. I stopped playing in my 30s. But I have started playing again. I still have my Hohner Special 20s and they still play great. Im thinking of buying a few Hohner Rocket Amp sets and a low G Hohner Thunderbird is a good place to start 😎. Im 70 now and in excellent health. God bless you young man.

The Rockets will be a great upgrade if you already like the Special 20

It sounds fantastic, thanks a lot. Would you mind to write me the tab of the scale/pattern from 8:46 to 8:50 ? I would really appreciate it, many thanks in advance.

What I play there is the Mixedup-lidian descending if you look up "Jason Ricci Pat Ramsey Licks #2" you'll see him break it down. I also suggested to always try to learn it by ear even if it may take an hour or 2 that's what I use to do and it got me a better ear for sure! But because you're so cool here it is. 6B 5B 5D 4D 5B 4B 4D 3D 4D' 3D' 4B 3B 3D' 2D 2D" 1D 2D" 2D

Very nice! Are there any known or nice paterns using notes that are not next to each others in the blues scale too? Like jumping from 2D to 4B then back to a lower note..ect? I guess it would be more advance but so far (in my 1 month harmonicist carreer :) I haven't heard patterns using the full scale, rather than 'touching' notes up and down

There's something similar to that it's called pedal points I should make a video on that but it's basically doing something like this 2D 3', 2D 4B, 2D 4D, 2D 5D, 2D 6B it's not necessarily a Triangle pattern but it's a pattern where you always come back to that first note

Thanks for the breakdown. I'll have to work on my rectangluating™! Please tell me, what type of harp are you playing & what customizations did you do to it? ~ Greg G.🎵

It's a breast cancer awareness Special 20 with the cover plates bent back and the barriers painted blue and green. On the reeds I gapped them for better air tight playing and easier bends and Overblows. I also embossed some of the reeds just for easier bends and overblows

On the draw 3 are you bending that or just hitting it as a passing note?
@KyrenHarmonica
@KyrenHarmonica 13 күн бұрын
Yup I almost always have that 3 draw bend. Even on the fat run ups I have it bent too it's just small but quick changes in the mouth
