As always great advice. I agree with many of the comments below. 1) Use a passwords manager. 2) Make unique long random passwords. 3) When possible use 2-step verification.

Also, I agree. That would be weird if someone walked up to me in a restaurant and just randomly started spouting anything about sex/religion, etc. 😂

Some tips on the password front: - Longer passwords are absolutely more secure - that’s good advice. A good tip is to use a passphrase consisting of 3 or more random words rather than a traditional password. - You should use a different password for every single account. Practically-speaking, this means you should use a password manager to generate long, random, complex passwords that you don't need to remember, and use one passphrase you can remember as the master password for your manager. - Regardless of the above, passwords are a terrible security mechanism. You should always use multifactor authentication (2-step verification in Google lingo) everywhere you can. This has been shown to successfully protect accounts in 99.9% of password compromises. - Glad you got your account back, Kevin. I recall that being quite a drama!

The best advice really is create, create, create. The stuff I created 9 years ago versus what I just uploaded a few days ago is Mile's and Mile's apart in quality. Even if my thumbnails suck still, at least the videos are better and that only came from practice. It also came from help offered by more experienced creators such as yourself, so for that I wanted to say, thank you!

I would also suggest 2 step verification. I have that on all my accounts to protect from hackers. Great tips!

Can I add another? - Listen to your brain, if you are not in the right headspace to make a video, wait a bit, or it will show in your video as disinterested or angry 🍸
@wordlesspoetry5652 жыл бұрын
I second this comment! It is so easy to tell when someone was not in the right Headspace when making a video. I edit my own videos, and when I recorded a video where I was not in the right Headspace, I can tell instantly in editing (and that edit session becomes cumbersome, and often ends with nothing but the delete button).

great advice Kevin, do you have a method on how to get more subscribers?
@BasicFilmmaker2 жыл бұрын
Make videos and post them consistently - same time and day every week. Always ask them to subscribe, every video at least once. Share the videos on social media - you may not see them reply but they will sub. Make videos for a niece, not a wide audience. Finally, play the long games. It can take a long time for the internet and people to find you. This will help: www.basicfilmmakeruniversity.com/p/youtube-academy
