BasicMed Exam - What are doctors looking for?

I'm used to FAA class I and I! Medicals. I"ve barely passed once because my BP was 1 point below maximum from nerves. On a class II A retire Air Force general asked if I'd ever run out of gas in my car. It was an automatic fail if i had. I get his point, but dang. This video certainly helped 😂✈️

Question for testing: I’ve been off THC for 60 days exactly. I used heavily for about 5 months and I’m 6’3” and 180 lbs. I have a pre-employment urine screen I have to complete by May 19th and I’m still testing positive on my at home tests. I did several detox drinks and was able to get the faintest of negative results, but I’m scared to risk my job on a very faint line. How do I get the rest out of my system in a week?

Specifically what detox brand, size and flavor did you use please?

@@busterhikney6936 Detoxify 32 oz. Tropical flavor. I did one a few days ago, did another the next morning and immediately threw up the 64 oz of liquid, so I did a third bottle over a longer time period. Tested constantly throughout, but best I could get was a barely visible line that was inconsistent across tests. I gave up on the detox and just went to water now.

So I have a dot physical coming up. Here is my dilemma. I just recently started taking BP medication(10 days ago). I'm not sure I've been taking it long enough for my BP to be stabilized. I've been keeping a eye on it and it's really close to the 140/90 sometimes a little over.. Sometimes a little under. So my question is.. If I tell the DR doing the exam that I am on BP medicine do I absolutely have to be 140/90 and below because I am on medication? Or would it just be better to not say anything and if I come in a little over just take the one year certification?

With BP meds you can only get a one year. You should disclose the medication

Quick question for you regarding results for testing. Will an employer always tell you if you passed? I’ve been waiting for a few days and just want to know if they’ll just continue on with the hiring process instead of letting me know.

The doctor should let you know if you passed before you leave the office
