Thank you ,very well explained , im currently awaiting d.a.t scan results , i have a current diagnosis of parkinsonism, but looking at all the brain diseases mentioned within that Dementia with Lewy bodies ticks every box for me. The one word i would use that sums up my experience perfectly is..... Fluctuation. ..its a moment to moment hour by hour day by day of shifting sands of symtoms.

@@steviesvideos319 I have a couple of good news things to share with you. In my years of working with LBD folks, almost all of them knew the people they loved most on the day they left the Earth. So this is not Alzheimer’s. Next, I want to share the words of a world class expert on LBD with you. This is what he said. “ LBD is one of the most complex of all the dementias, but is the most responsive of them all to the right treatment and management.” I hope these things I’ve said bring you hope .

Pat, Lynette, your videos mean so much to me and my family. You mentioned in this video that there are some forms of temporary dementia. About 15 years ago my mom was experiencing dementia and we determined that she was having low B12, due to a stomach ulcer. The minute the stomach ulcer was cleaned up the dementia completely went away. Right now she has a less than mediocre doctor that has randomly just agreed with some distant relatives that my mom has lewy Body dementia, and I'm not certain she has that. Is there a possibility you could tell me the list of possible deficiencies that could be causing this so that we can have each and every one of them thoroughly checked just in case there's some possibility we can get rid of this?

Shelley, there are no specific deficiencies that I am aware of that are causal for LBD. If you google Lewy body dementia causes you might find a series of questions with answers that point you to better life practices for keeping a healthy brain. Avoiding surgery if possible as we age or at least being very careful what anesthesias and meds are given before and after a surgery might be important. Surgeries are often cited by some LBD folks as a trigger event. You will find good sleep quality, mediterranean diet, and exercise on the list of good practices along with other things.

@@patsnyder9144 I appreciate the information. My mom did have a major surgery right before this began, and her diet has never been very healthy. I will do more research. Thank you so much. ❤️
