Software products romba complicated a irukum. Gmail is a simple product to use. But it's very complicated to build and maintain the product. Product features grow aaga code base romba complicated a irukum. 2-3 people can't manage. If you are interested just check how Netflix works. Lot of technical posts are available.

UX needs lot of design skills UI needs little design skills and some of coding knowledge.
