As a frontend dev i would recommend freshers to learn HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT Basic, Bootstrap to design quickly. Then move to an angular/react framework. I would recommend react for freshers. If you really want to crack big companies especially product based as a fresher focus on data Structure , system design and machine coding in javascript.

Do certification in phyton or .Net since it's been a few years since you completed your degree. Nowadays Degree and certification are like a ticket to enter a company interview or to get a promotion if you are already in a job. The way you perform in the interview, gets you the job. Also when attending an interview make sure that you know everything that you have entered in your resume and also when applying for an interview they would have mentioned some skills in the job description, make sure you know at least 3 skills that are mentioned in the job description and also enter that in your resume.
