so what polyol would you use to make say polystyrene more elastic and rubber like ? i have a problem with polystyrene being rigid and stiff, it cracks and breaks easy.

PU consists of many different polyol building blocks: short-chain, long-chain with different numbers of reactive groups. For example, to change the hardness in a polyether-based PU, the proportions of special polyols, mostly short-chain ones called crosslinkers, are increased or decreased.

I have a question, I’m trying to find a supplier that sell me a polyester polyol of 2000 MW that gives me a 80 Shore when reacted with TDI and Moca, the problem is all my suppliers only sell me polyols that give 70 Shore A :( do you know why that is the case??

Thanks, ok, now I understand the Poly aspect but not the Urethane? I'm guessing that aspect is the resin, or the total combination is the resin?

Urethane is the name of the part of the molecule that makes the connections between the single units of the molecule.
