Thank you for such an easy explanation. just one doubt, how the node would know what is destination IP address, MAC address or port number while sending the data?
@abcdef-lq3uw4 жыл бұрын
Hey, can we say that number of processes currently running in a PC is determined/capped by range of port numbers i.e., 65535? Thank you for the video!

*sir i have a doubt i hope u will reply* sir in the ip address vedio u have tell that ip address is used to identify a particular node in a network but after that u have said mac address is used to identify a particular node in a network .and ip address is used to identify the network *so please sir clear this i heartly request you*
@gourangoghosh10764 жыл бұрын
Hello Anuro, IP are basically used by the router that means if two node are in different network they have to communicate with IP address and IP help them to understand which network they have to communicate with .Once packet reaches to intended router, ARP (address resolution protocol) translate the IP addr to MAC and switch send the packet to the receiver having that MAC addr. So if node are in same network then no need for ip addr ,MAC will be enough. It would be more clear in subsequent class.

Thanks you sir.

Bro, if Ip address takes data up to the router and not up to the host, then what is the purpose of ip address of the host? BTW, your lecture was good enough to make things easy..
@skillup6382 жыл бұрын
Bro if u are accessing Google then the network will know that u are accessing Google which is host ip address accordingly ur results will be displayed

Nice lecture thank you I have one question " what if all ports are occupied by different requests means all the 65535 ports are taken by different process how the system will handle such situations " I know this question seems to be unrealistic but too had "????" in mind?
@anindyachakraborty40054 жыл бұрын
Hello Vidya , As we know that port address is used in everyone's personal device , then how can you do 65535 different works at a time ? Like , isn't it impossible in a phone to access 65535 different apps or pages at a time ?
@skillup6382 жыл бұрын
Show me ur 65535 processes in your pc or smartphone,😂if u do then it will be last day for ur device

If MAC address is used to uniquely identify a node, what is the purpose of IP address in local network as IP address is also assigned uniquely to nodes of local system
