In defense of Caitlyn's mother's treatment of Jayce after the hearing.... Bear in mind that Jayce _did_ nearly kill her daughter, Caitlyn by keeping contraband materials for unapproved experiments in his building. She was still willing to support him during the trial by vouching for his good character, because that was what was socially expected of her as his patron. Only for it to be revealed that his experiments involved magic; which is a major taboo in Piltover. Meaning, in her eyes, this guy took advantage of her position as well as nearly got her daughter and only child killed not as an accident in some pursuit of a noble cause but to chase after something horrible and irresponsible.

And even then, she still voted for him to not be banished.

Yeah, she’s not a great person and is quite prejudiced, but I’d say her response to this catastrophe was pretty reasonable. Later when she has a change of heart post-time skip, that could be the money talking or maybe Jayce and Caitlyn genuinely convinced her. I dunno, that’s pretty ambiguous, but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible that she just genuinely came around. (SPOILERS) We saw that she did with Vi and Caitlyn.

Vi always reminds me of a Mexican Revolutionary called Emiliano Zapata who's famous for saying: "It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees". Know you were talking about feeling weird about not having any League knowledge, but loving the 'blind' reaction aspect :)

This entire show is amazing, but the next episode, episode 3, is perhaps the most narratively flawless piece of fiction I’ve seen. I cant wait to see your reaction to it.

Any video that Nug makes a cameo in is a winner! You've been introduced to so many characters so far but the show does such a great job of making them all memorable. Vander's picture is in the dictionary next to the word Daddy, ALL the possible definitions of Daddy. I am so excited for Episode 3 Basic!

The thing I hate about the whole "who are you willing to lose" speech from Vander is like, they're ALREADY at risk of loosing everyone without fighting. The enforcers flung a guy upside down through a window for being a little rude, and Marcus was two seconds away from shooting Powder in the back, and he didn't even knew if they had the crystals. The Enforcers can come and kill whoever they want in the lanes and nothing happens to them. Not fighting back at best makes them kill people slower.

Vander got more defensive with the kids, but it's of course right; a solution of some kind has to come forward. The topside isn't actively trying to destroy them though, they just don't care about them at all and just need the cheap resources/labor from there, so a revolution might not be strictly necessary.

@@TimoRutanen revolution was strictly necessary precisely because that's how they see the undercity. When I said they are killing them already I didn't only mean the enforcers coming down to shoot and beat them to death, there is also the work conditions they are submitted to both in hazardous industries and the poverty wages that those who even get to have a job recieve, which in turn turns almost everyone down there to crime in some sort of way.

The thing that makes this show great - and I mean great - is that there is no right answer. It shows that many paths are possible, none of them are easy, most of them are complex, and every single one has consequences. Life ain’t simple. And it is filled with chaos. Diplomacy, patience, action, revolution; no plan survives implementation intact. The only thing you can rely on is your belief - but belief doesn’t guarantee success.

@@phkun4435 What I was meaning to say is, that there might be a political solution in a situation like that - everyone would be better off with less dying and destruction. Of course, this is all generic discussion and not directly related to the show, which I think explores the subject very well.

Greatest show I have ever seen. Just my opinion. I have watched it so many times, I have watched so many reactions. I have no idea how many times I have watched it one way or another but it has to be in the triple digits at this point.

@@basicwitgirl tbh their game ads were everywhere but mostly here, “league of legends “ was THE sponsor game but when I downloaded it I was underwhelmed, so I wasn’t sure about the show but it’s completely different, the show is a marvel of it’s genre and it gets better, I love it too and characters are well written

Best animated show I've ever seen. One of the best shows I've ever seen, period. Minute for minute, some of the deepest character development I've ever seen. Spectacular fight scenes. Perfect needle drops. Extraordinarily beautiful art. Aside from a small handful of moments that appear to create confusion for about a third of the audience, and a teensy bit of missing context in one or two places (that could very well get added in Season Two), it's very nearly flawless. Compared to where the show executes well, the flaws honestly don't matter.

I know these are probably pre reccorded so you wont see this before you react to the next episode. BUT GETT SOME TISSUES! the next episode is a reall tear jerker. I wasin a puddle of tears by the end of it.
