Loved your reaction! The part that breaks me the most is that Vi's plan was working. Milo got Vander out of the shackles, Claggor broke through the wall, giving them an escape route. They. Were. Free. And then, Powder's monkey entered the ring.

The way this episode manages to bring you down with the sadness of it all, the desperation of everyone involved and the urgency, then props you up with happiness and a lighter moment giving you hope, to then just plunge you headfirst into despair is an absolute masterclass in story telling.

You're right, though... Powder's voice actress (only about 11 at the time of recording) was PHENOMENAL at the end there. She's absolutely heartbreaking.

There's a term called "eucatastrophe" in storytelling that is essentially that when everything is bleakest and darkest, something monumental and unexpected happens that resolves everything in the most positive way. That's what we think is going to happen here. The situations starts to resolve positively. Claggor breaks through the wall. Milo almost has Vander free. We think the door is going to hold just long enough. Powder's bomb is going to allow them time to escape. Then the eucatastrophe flips again into just utter castastrophe with the bomb killing Milo and Claggor, pinning down Vi, and barely even injuring Deckard. And then, well all the rest. Man it's such great storytelling. I was stunned after watching this the first time.

Silco is not a scientist, he's more of an entrepreneur. The doctor or scientist is named Singed. He's the one you saw in the first episode telling Silco that the "serum" was almost ready. As you can see, Powder suffers from emotional trauma and a severe case of separation anxiety.

I 100% agree. This episode is insane, an emotional punch in the guts and it’s not even the finale! I mean, what’s up with that? Why de the people at Fortiche want us to cry so hard. 😮 Makes you afraid for the next episodes!! (Yeah, I know we both know how it goes but humor me, please 😊) The episode was beautiful, sad, full of tension and the ending… OMG, the ending! 😭🤯💔 Kudos on the video and I agree about what you said about good intentions and Hell. This episode is the perfect example. PS: I remember back when I watched the 1st season, after episode 9, I listened to the tv show’s OST on Deezer for months. Months! Their choices for the music are incredible. ❤

Important detail that a lot of people do not notice at the first watch: The woman that protected Silco using her own body (we can see how her arm blows up) was the same one who previously "challenged" Vander at the bar, called him weak and left.

One of the more subtle things I enjoy the most about this episode is when Silco asks Powder "Where's your sister?" and Powder replies with "She left me, she is not my sister anymore." While Silco looks at the body of Vander, his former brother. Feeling the same betrayal Powder does in that moment. That's why he can relate with her and takes her in. He sees himself in her. This show is filled with parrallells and it's so beautiful.

I think the bunny is a metaphor for childhood innocence. Vi had hers taken away early and was forced into this role of caretaker for her sister, and at the end of last episode she finally retrieves it but not for herself, for Powder. She is making a sacrifice to preserve her sister's childhood a little longer But we see Powder take that bunny, that innocence, with her to the warehouse, and both are forever tainted by what happens there

It's divided into 5 parts (I think) and gives you a great insight into almost every aspect of how this incredible series was made. The history of how the showrunners got hired in at Riot Games, a little history on our two favorite Undercity misfits, the animation teams, the writers, the music, the sound effects, red carpet interviews and finally...the world premiere of the first three episodes. It's great reaction material!!!

She was even younger than that. In interviews she said she was cast at the age of 10 and turned 11 while working on it. Also, in the behind the scenes documentary the creators joked about making an 11-12 year old girl cry. lol She is one of the best things about Arcane and that is saying A LOT! Absolutely incredible! 🤯
