My Christmas cactus is blooming. I know there's some plants that look like Christmas cactus but don't bloom during Christmas time. But, it bloomed the last two Christmases. So! It's not dead! Winning! 🌿💚🌵💚🌱

My best growers for January are Caudata and Rebecca. They truly took off. Gracilis, Khroniana and Carnosa are not doing too shabby, either. Next in line is the dragon fruit cactus. Fast grower calls himself a cactus 🤷♀️

Love the grow tent, thank you. As far as the black spots, take a picture of them, then come back in a few weeks and take another picture. If the perimeters are the same you're fine. If they've grown, then it's organic. Possibly mold, or since you tried to clean it already, maybe a super alien mold not known to man and this is the only place on the planet it grows! Hmmm? Does Little Shop of Horrors come to mind? Maybe Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Don't fall asleep anywhere near the tent until you know!

ENjoyed your tent tour! My worst growing plant in January is a propagation moved to soil in November 2021 of Hoya David Cummingii. Don’t know what it’s problem to living is all about, must have had a chat with the brevialata, which I can’t even prop in perlite, miserable little 💩. But you asked about my best growing plant in January, by far, my Hoya Carnosa tricolor (Krimson Queen), bought it in a 10 cm pot in 2019, propped a couple times, just had to bump from a bulging 20 cm pot and added all together in a 35 cm pot! It is just on a bamboo curved trellis. Now my other hoyas need to get the memo....
@BasiePlants2 жыл бұрын
That is amazing about Hoya carnosa 'Tricolor'! I think you need to place your bad behaving hoyas around it, and once they become envious of it, they will start to grow faster. 😂 I think Hoya imperialis is the worst one for me this month. It has months when it thrives, and then months when it.... well, excells at being a little 💩

Could be charcoal?.....those black spots? Also, why don't you cut back your hoya vines, so the energy goes back into making more leaves? I find sometimes hoya need a bit of a shock to shake them into growing. Love your New Guinea ghost....its a lovely color. It's interesting how the peduncles remind me of the rings of trees, as in everytime they flower, the peduncles get bigger and bigger. Not the best analogy but kind of tells a story.
