Let me know what you thought of the movie! I, personally, loved how Suffolk was one of the stars as well with its gorgeous landscape. Plus, Ralph Fiennes never disappoints!

He was fantastic in this role as always - but the whole cast was great. I always adore Carrey Mulligan, and of course period dramas have to have a role for Lily James 😉

@@jennifermacpherson9400 I thought everyone was perfectly cast! And even though there was a wildly unnecessary romantic subplot, I appreciated how the movie highlighted the importance of women in the story of Sutton Hoo!

What a fantastic KZbin video. I think it's great you spoke out in depth against classism. Anyone that self teaches themselves FIVE languages, teaches themselves astronomy (and writes books about it) and archeology, discovers multiple roman villas and the most significant Saxon find ever, is a genius in my opinion. ❤❤❤

The classism in acidemia is such a pain! If you don't play their game they're not going to support you and it's so stupid and petty. I had professors with amazing topic concepts they had to put in the freezer (couldn't even back-burner them) for the simple reasoning of it being _appealing and easily understood by the common mind_, or as it was actually written "not of proper scholarly pursuit." So glad there's some work to dismantle this going on, and really glad that Brown is getting proper recognition finally.

I've had some pretty shocking experiences myself, even with my background. The most frustrating thing to me is that educated people are gatekeeping education. Hence, this channel as a reaction to that.
