Mate, you’re so lucky to get in there. It’s the one place I’ve been trying for like 2/3 years but Everytime and entrance pops up, it gets closed again. Would love to explore this place as it’s full of local history and of course, if you live in Basildon, our parents 100% were in that club🤣

I grew up playing pool and snooker in there from the day it opened in 97-98 when I was 13, sad to see the place like this now.

I watched your first video and thought 'someone needs to remove the pictures and VHS tapes to a place of safety, they're part of Basildon's heritage." Then I saw this vid. So sad. Went there with my wife (then girlfriend) in the 80s. Sad to see it like that, but time moves on.

I m not from England originally but i do live in Basildon and i really feel sorry about this place. Their a piece of history and people memories. Too bad it went doen like that and nobody bring the place back to life.

Yeh you had squatters living In there in about the start of 2021 as we went in there unknowing they were living there one of them opened the door to the kitchen to say we jumped was an understatement we thought we were only ones there ps we took a pool que aswell 😂

that was strings piano bar after the club and then a rileys snooker club after that so looks nothing like raquels ever did , i went in there most weekends from 1983 until it shut down

I've been obsessed with the Essex Boys since I read muscle and watches rise of the footsoldier when it came out its a shame its been trashed inside I'd of liked to get 1 of them pool balls as a souvenir

Snooker club was in the same building but on the opposite with the entrance in the bus station . There was a seperate bar also upstairs called the buzz bar with the entrance opposite the little car park
