One other way to do it (safer but longer): use the "full body" variant of the shield and destroy his armour with a handgun. If your shield has enough health, resistance and regeneration, you will be safe from the attacks of the boss.

@slyllamademon2652 Blinder firefly and chem launcher together, u can use chem to slow him down when ur blinders cooldown reset if tier 6 it should be 10 sec only. I almost failed but managed to got him Finally.

I just did it with the oxydizer and decoy (on hard because i was running it specifically for that research), after failing a couple of times trying to do it just as is. Not the way to go imo. The decoy does a nice job keeping the guy in the cloud for the full duration of the oxydizer, which is fairly short. If you don't use something you usually only get about half of the oxidzer damage on him. But after god knows how many hits of it with no armor popping off, i got impatient and just sniped at the pieces. The decoy keeps him from moving too much especially after he tries to swing at it. And i was running a low dmg exotic sniper anyway to level proficiency on it. Plus when you roll through him to dodge the swing and gain some distance he was fairly sluggish and waiting for a short bit instead of full sprinting after me the entire time. So it wasn't hard to hit the shots on the armor and get them all. It does work, but I'd not advise only using the oxydizer unless you got some time on your hands. Because it'll take so many hits you'll wonder if the dmg numbers popping off are just for show and that the armor can't have that many hit points. Maybe foam and carefully shooting the pieces with a scope is the better way to go after all the adds are cleared and you got him solo

If anyone is having any trouble with this challenge, there are 2 of the same enemies. The first one is not the boss. Kill him first then do the challenge on the other one.

I did this on challenging cuz I felt it would be easier breaking his armor without accidentally killing him since he’ll have more health. It worked better than doing it on normal for me.

Just use the oxidizer. It takes a little longer but peals all the armor real easy.

Did you aim the oxidizer l specifically at the armor or just dispersed it on the ground and making a cloud of purple smoke?

@@Booth1667 aim at the ground and it gets all of his armor pieces off evenly. Kill all the other enemies until it is just you and him. kite him back through the cloud if you can.

It works, just don't do it stupidly like I did (Challenging difficulty, Tier 1 Oxidizer, no Skill Haste). For sure it works, but it took me like 45 mins because of it. (I saw the sun going down and up.) Indeed the Oxidizer targets all armor at once and damages at the same rate. But if you are impatient and start firing, once 1 armor goes down, the Oxidizer will do health damage on the boss, and will die before the rest of his armor goes down. Because of the challenging difficulty, his armor was much higher but his health amount was about the same. Huge lesson learned. :)

Easiest way to do it. Is use a rifle. The Ar and smg is hard to control the amount of bullets missing the mark.

This took me about 4 attempts. I took off Basilisk's armour while Flashbanging him. I even left one of the red health'd enemies running around with myself taking cover from that enemy while firing at Basilisk's Armour. I left that other enemy running around because, if I killed Basilisk with 1 Armour Piece still on, Attempt Failed. I didn't have to start the whole mission again. Just let that 1 other ignored enemy kill me. Then it Respawned me back at the gate you C4 to get into the area where you fight Basilisk at.

Even if you kill all the enemies and basilisk, you can still kill yourself and try the area again. No need to leave an enemy alive.

No, the achievement should pop as soon as he dies. Sorry to hear you're having trouble, just keep at it and it will work.

There are two enemies that look alike the first one is the basilisk I took off all five of his pieces of armor but still did not complete it n then did the second enemy the same way n still did not complete it I dont know what to do.

There's 6 armour pieces. I did it with a Hybrid build (3 Skill tiers) and corrosive chem launcher. Took a while but done in the end. My problem was not killing him by accident during it. Took 4 runs to get it.

Yeah, this is a big fail. Why? Your teammate will probably kill it immediately. And trying this alone is also impossible. Why? There is always an enemy spawning in that kills you. So again. Impossible...

I did it without team mates. Set the difficulty to normal-- kill all the enemies that spawn until they stop spawning-- then start working on basilisk armor. It's actually not too difficult. Took me 3 or 4 tries.

You get the mini gun as soon as you equip the gunner spec in the Whitehouse. Finishing all 5 levels of the project just gives you the apparel outfit that comes with it.

Thanks, used foam and firefly for blinding with marksman rifl. Took 3 attempts. If you accidentally kill him made yourself straight away and will refresh the stage :)

This is totally not how to do it. It's even easier than this. Throw one of the turrets out on top of the box in the middle of the area. One that you have to manually fire. Obviously don't use it. He gets distracted by it, he jumps up on the box, and starts trying to destroy the turret. While he's doing that you have plenty of time to pick off his pieces. Sometimes he'll jump off and start running after you but just lead him by the turret again and he'll try and destroy it.

You only have to do it once. I did it once and it worked- so it was the easiest (and only) method I ever used. I'm sure there's easier ways- but I'm not a content creator- I'm just a player with a KZbin channel.
