First drill they did not travel. Their left foot was their pivot foot meaning they can move their right foot when they went to drive

As a matter of fact the ball does not have to be put on the floor before lifting the pivot, it just has to leave the hand. Both moves are perfectly legal, however the coach should have corrected the girls particularily at the second drill where they shoveled their feet most of the time.

but they don't even do that!

You are correct, if executed differently (the way you described) its not a travel. But these players are doing it way wrong and are traveling every time. And Coach Molloy did not adress that, when in my eyes he should have. I have never heard of that NBA rule before, not sure what you mean.

great sharing。 simple but really hit the target stuff.

Not in the US. A player can lift his pivot foot as long as he/she releases the ball before the pivot foot returns to the floor. Logically, if the first dribble hits the floor at the same time the pivot foot does, then it is not a travel. However, I think this is a clear traveling violation in FIBA rules.

I'm a coach in Switzerland. If my players would do the first move in a game, they get a call for travelling every single time. Isn't that a travel violation or are the rules different in Australia?

The first drill, the way it is already set up is a traveling violation, every single time. It's unfortunate that Coach Molloy did not adress that.

If the ball is put on the floor before the pivot foot is lifted then its perfectly legal. The people demonstrating however do not.

Put the ball on the floor before your pivot foot is lifted. Then it's legal.
