Another awesome and creative video! I have no idea how you don't have 10x the subscribers. More people need to discover you. I hope with the Adobe fiasco going on, that happens. Cheers! 🍻

Very nice idea and result but a little bit too fast for me. And: It's always easy to select a shape from a perfectly white background.

Hey, Thanks for watching! I try to make a variety of videos (some lessons you'll see step by step very slow) and others faster like this for other viewers that prefer it. I selected this particular model/shape for that exact reason - the footage is faster but the selections/edits are fairly easy for anyone. Appreciate you taking a moment of your time to watch and leave a comment!

I love these videos but you just make it look so easy to layer subtle things in that work so well. Everything I make looks like a kid did it. lol

Honestly it's just a lot of playing around! I create things all the time and they're awful. I'm 25 minutes into something thinking 'i'm a fraud' but I walk away or tweak a few things and it comes together. Keep going! and thank you so much for watching!

Great video that is a pleasure to watch and easy to learn from. Anyone using Affinity Photo should subscribe to this channel. I have to ask... why did you go into develop persona to adjust clarity and contrast?
@bydesignmethodАй бұрын
Hey Steve good to see you! I like the layout of the develop persona for final adjustments. I could certainly do them separate but I like to do my final 'tweaks' in one workspace. Thanks for coming back!

@@bydesignmethod I'm touched that you remember your oldest fans! 😀 I'm just getting back into AP, using it mostly for developing RAW photos atm. I watched your 90 min beginners guide to refresh my memory, perfect, it's a very, very good video. I tried using the develop persona. It's good for making quick adjustments but not really deep enough for the fine touches, so I tend to develop with the lens correction (grab some real estate back with "scale") then move straight into Photo persona... but what do I know, most of what I know about AP I learnt from you lol. Keep up the good work! Over 10k subscribers, well deserved.

wow, my first time watching an Affinity tutorial. It seems fun to work with. How is it compared to Photoshop?

I find it much faster and smoother to be honest. Thank you so much for watching!

Years ago, when I first learned Affinity Draw, I was messed-up because the controls are nothing like my CorelDraw.
@bydesignmethod4 ай бұрын
I tried CorelDraw years ago and I remember it being pretty good. Do you still use it?
@yxmichaelxyyxmichaelxy30744 ай бұрын
@@bydesignmethod Yes. Along with Affinity Draw. I prefer the former only because I am used to it, and CorelDraw can do things Affinity Draw cannot. It is why some complain that Affinity Draw is missing some components. CorelDraw is not missing any.
