It´s a tough day for sure! I think it is about +1000m and over 3500m down. We definitely earned our beers that day.

SHEESH BRAH!!! That was a banger of a day! Love those "high alpine scree fields" There's just something about them that makes my jimmies warm... And this little day out really packed in awesome trails! The whole way down... Both drops was sweet AF!!! :D
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland3 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude. It was indeed one seriously big day out on the bike. Perhaps what you don't get from this edit is exactly how long the descents were, so watch out for the raw edits when they drop.

AMAZING. It could have literally been me filming this episode. I stunned by the beauty of the scenerey and these fantastique nature trails. I also would have been exhausted before the last descent, however I would have tried it as well, and I don't know whether I would have completed it in one piece. Great vid, even greater tour, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Thorsten. If you ever get the chance, it really is a magical place to ride bikes.

@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland Basque MTB has been on my bucket list since I saw the vids of BKXC and McTrailRider. However, I habe started riding enduro just 2 years ago and still learning, as a 50 y o rider this remains a huge challenge. I am working on that taking everey opportunity to improve, as job and family are allowing. One day... !

Great video buddy, what a day. I can imagine that at some point you reach a point where your energy is exhausted. Great video and great trails. The view at the beginning is a dream. Ride on and have fun

Great video, thanks for sharing! I rode the high Pyrenees back in 2019 and had a blast and this was a memorable day. Thanks for the great video to remind me of my amazing trip again!

Thank you for the positive comment and I’m glad you liked the video. This is the sort of great trip that I wish every mountain biker could experience at least once.

So crazy watching this riding in dry conditions after your last two rides, that view for the prize after hike a bike was truly stunning!! Glad to see your loosened up on the bike as well. Great video mate 👍🏼

That really looks like a proper tough day mate, but a great one. I've been like this so many times, where you have sod all energy left and everything becomes a challenge - beer afterwards always replenishes the levels though 😃👍

Tell me about it. I was shagged out at the end. What an adventure though! I'd do that ride again in a heartbeat. I'd just like to try and do it a bit more justice.

Great video, loving this series about riding in the Pyrenees, i have to do this next year. Dont you guys accept more riders in your global adventures??
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. The Pyrenees is an absolute must. Most of the adventures get organized long in advance, which makes coordinating difficult. I might try and organise a weekend in the Swiss Alps this summer though. So keep an eye out👍

Awesome trails, awesome video ☮️. Any advice on getting there from the UK? Where did you stay? Name of village/s? Did you fly, drive? etc. Please.
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. You can fly in to Bilbao or Biarritz. It's quite a long drive from the UK, but the ferry from Plymouth to Santander could be a good option. As regards accommodation, I left that all in the capable hands of the guys at Basque MTB. It's by far the best way to get the most out of your holiday- No searching for trails, you just let Doug and the boys take you to all the best riding in the area.

great video, it looks great but as you told us, it was also a lot of work :). iam asking me, would stuff like this be doable with a ebike? or is it better with a normal bike? if i would do such vacations i maybe should buy a normal bike too. damn xD
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. This day would have been absolute hell with an ebike because of all the carrying involved.
@basqueMTB3 жыл бұрын
@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland That day is hard with a full-sized e-bike. With something like a Rise it is really possible and you can ride a LOT of the climb. Then there is a 20 minute push / carry at the top.

I don’t think I’d be up for a 2+ hr hike a bike …. Good decision to dial it back

It was a real adventure though and I reckon I'd do it again - I'd like to tidy up some of scrappier parts of the descent. Two big efforts like that in one day, definitely take it out of you though.
