The best method there at hillcrest at the carp dam, you just free line a tear of fresh white bread on the surface

Just wanted to say thanks. We pulled 10 carp out today using this method. No sinker. No float. Just a light size 6 hook with bread on it. If the bread floats you’re all set to catch. If it sinks your odds drop dramatically. Everyone else was getting annoyed that we were the only ones catching and I’m 100% sure I wouldn’t have caught a fish if I didn’t see this comment. It helps a ton to chuck a bunch of bread out onto the water to start a feeding frenzy too.

hi i know abit late but if u go there again in that on corner on the smaller lake if u top water feed with bread crums u will catch loads and the bass there are very over fed so u wont get to much

Awe bru I fish there alot for that small dam u must use bread for carp trust me it the best way for big ones don't use corn put hook and floty and the big dam has carb,bass,trout

The place where I fished at in this video has some trout and people were spinning for it, so I guess you could go there. Its called Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville.

Unfortunately no places to spin for trout, and you should never spin for them anyway, treble hooks very bad. Guess you want to keep the trout right??
