when you listen to the incredible job Josh did covering the album, you can fully understand why Jason was so pissed with the final outcome of the album. Some heavy, chunky bass throughout the album. Jason was robbed.

Dude I want a Warwick bass so bad! I'm perfectly happy with my Schecter Stilletto Extreme, but I love the Warwick tone. Also I like how you're playing what Jason played only playing fingerstyle as opposed to using a pick/plectrum, yet you still get an nice growly tone. SImilar to how Cliff Burton and now Robert Trujillo sound. Nothing against Jason's bass playing though but his style is different, and he makes a better frontman than just strictly a bassist. I saw him play live with his band Newsted back in 2013. They were fucking awesome, and I honestly thought they sounded better than Metallica. Jason's vocal style reminds me of Lemmy. I was sad to hear that they split.

Basically, I was just learning the guitar and I LOVED Metallica, so I learned how to play all of their songs at the time. But I also questioned, and learned along the way.
