This thing sounds so great, and tbh $2100 seems like a steal for what it is

P-bass and Stingray by far, Jazz just doesn’t sound all that good if I’m being honest.
@Roasty42012 сағат бұрын
I feel the Rick has a smoother yet darker sounds, while the Jazz has a more “thump” like sound to it. Pretty sure both basses sound great, but I’m more of a Precision fan over Jazz fan and Rick is def a Tier 1 bass.

I tested the same "steel bass" and it sounds just as a wooden bass. Why would you believe any story?

Let’s use 12 different basses and amps showing you tone😆😆😆

Always wanted one of those "futuristic" looking Ibanez (EHB1000) but it looks like the multi-scale version is only a five string

This is always been my least favorite Metallica album. I always hated the tonality of it because of the bass.. You did A JUSTICE ⚖️ FOR ALL...

My first bass was a Gibson Grabber just like this one in the video. A 1975 model, I’m the original owner, and I still have it 😎.

Wow the video gives me a reason for a try In these days I want to buy a comp pedal for my new hofner bass, when I play a guitar I do not use a compressor because it change the dynamic of signal before the overdrive section, and I want for the control of the amont of overdrive with my picking. But when it comes to my new bass guitar, its tone is like somehow with shorter sustain, even after when I installed a set of labella flat wound short scale strings(really louder then initial though), so I think I need to purchase a comp pedal to fix it(and as it's designed for guitar I can also use it for my guitar

To add bass you need to make more complex work with mastering. What I hear in this it's a low cut. And what I don't hear - it's an aggressive and killer bass drum...

Not that I don't think that this bass isn't worth the $2000 plus asking price, I just don't see many being sold for that price. I just don't see the resale value in a bass that is pretty much only a hybrid precision jazz with a bonus mudbucker. But good luck on it.

James INTERNATIONALLY turned Jason's bass real low on the studio album. He didn't like Jason. Hated having to replace Cliff. Wrong way to show your musical talent.....when you have an amazing Bassist.

Metallica at peak talent.. if this was the original hands down best metal album. Heavy fast and long. Solos and lars drums especially the random fills are just absolutely relentless

I'm not playing much the last few years and I've also kinda settled on the basses I like and wouldn't currently think about buying a new bass (unless I randomly played something in a store and fell in love etc). But saying that BLOODY HELL, this bass looks like amazing fun. The fact I can get so much tone out of a few different pickups and the actual sound and build quality look so good blows my mind. I'm not in a position to get such an expensive new bass right now, but if I ever am in that position, I AM going to look into this bass. I really hope McGrath sell a good bunch of these and can keep making them. And thanks for the video!

I play a thunderbird for the looks 😂 In the Studio its preci. Another great t bird body with pj pickup would be right for me.
@christopherstorrier55602 күн бұрын
I like them all, the second & third being the classic T-bird shape, the pickups are far better than Gibson "mudbuckers" for sure..the black & gold model looks & sounds kool..

WTF why do you buy a "Rickenbacker", when you don't like the "original" sound? Why didn't you buy a cheap "plank" and replace the pick-ups? You must be a true "Voodoo"-believer who thinks that "the sound" comes from the instrument... Just take some time to listen to "YES/Chris Squire or RUSH/Geddy Lee and their sound is always "Rickenbacker-ish" regardless what bass they played - both bassist used many different instruments during their careers.... It's always the "player" and not the "instrument" who makes the sound!!! Of course a thumb down bc I don't believe in Voodoo!
