Also, so happy to see a youtuber with clearly far greater reach and access to gear do everything I envision. You design fx rigs like I design patches and channels in my neurofunk sessions. I drool over the rigs you set up! 😮 Cheers again, sir!

Hi Zachary! Great video! Have you ever used the Cali76 or any other comp as a limiter for the synth bass sounds? For a synthy bass sound I'm always using an MF101 with dirt and octaver but the dirt always makes a big volume difference between my clean sound. Just wondering if a limiter could tame the beast a little bit! It's usually for pop-ish electronic stuff. Thanks!
@briancherry80887 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I can see why you add some dirt. Your clean tone is... VERY clean. It seems very treble-y to me. You really glossed over Reverb. Do you not consider it a must have for bassists? It seems to me you prefer to use Chorus to add depth? Amazing vid. Very clear explanation of what these pedals do. Thanks!

this is much better. please don't degenerate into one of those channels where people send you pedals for free, you do a demo chock full of ads to get a few pennies from googleads, and then send the pedals back. people want real endorsements: what you buy, what you use, what you take out on gigs. and of course how you use it.

Thank you so much for this video! As a bass player trying to get into live acoustics, rig set up, and signal production this has helped me so much. It's been very hard for me to find information on bass specific effects and filters that's not some kind of edm on a computer program. I use a digitech gnx 4 and with so many options it has always been intimidating to me. What is your opinion on running bass signal though a gnx 4? It seems like the tracking is very good, extensive options but slightly basic. I guess you can't have every effect in the world and all the options to go with it 😁

Hi Zachary, really cool and interesting video! thanks! I have a question, I use a few effects including a mxr delay and a crybaby bass wah on top of overdrive, distortion, fuzz and octaver. There often is the debate about the effect loop of the amp. Do you use it? or do you take all yourr pedalboard into the amp input?

@ZacharyRizer2 ай бұрын
Can't be 100% sure because it has been a while since my board was in this arrangement. But I almost always have my comp after octave, so that would be my guess.

Hello Zachary! I really enjoy your videos. They are helpful and inspiring! One question: how do you power all your pedals and do you think you have sort of tone loss while using so much pedals + looper/switcher? I have a similar amount of pedals on my board and it really sucks i loose volume and low end through the signal chain. It is so obvious i dont want to use it that way. Seems like a good looper is a MUST HAVE for 10+ pedals on one board. Bad power supply might be a reason too, mine only has isolated sections so i cannot seperate every single pedal from each other. Another thing is active vs. passive loopers...GigRig G2 seems to be the thing when it comes to negate tone loss because its active but its kinda too professional at least for me (and expensive, obviously). Well thats more than only one question but i would really appreciate to hear some of your thoughts on topics like power supplies/ loopers / tone loss. This might be some FAQ you already answered somewhere and i just missed it! (Sorry!) Go on with these nice videos! Cheers, Marcel

No one ever tries to figure out what octaver or pitch shifter tracks the LOWEST. Not for octave down but octave up... Like sub low B.... USING F0 or something as the lowest note attempted.
