Man so happy and so much respect for you showing this! This young group of fishermen think that the only way to catch fish is with all the expensive gear. People have been and still are catching tons of fish with your everyday cheaper gear! Grand show I love the information you give for kids who can watch and learn. When I was a kid from the 70s who used to run down and watch the fishing shows on Saturday morning. .you put out more information than that did . I'm in my 50s, and I watch your show for information.

Also Palomar knot is AWESOME. I kept having bass slip the hook tie till a friend suggested a Palomar knot. Hook slip has not been an issue since then. I feel like that is one of the key knots any bass angler needs to learn.

Local Walmarts have tons of bass lures but we don’t have many bass locally. I caught a 3 lb largemouth. 3 years ago pan fishing. Not one since.😂

Nothing beats cheap lures. Everything is getting so expensive now and I will never, ever be one of those people that casts a lure that costs more than a tank of gas. When I was a kid I'd find hooks or use some allowance for a pack of hooks and then my buddies and I would go into the woods and dig for worms. It was CHEAP. Nowadays there are kids throwing $30+ lures because they think the more you spend the better it is. I love seeing these sorts of videos which shows just how far $20 can get you if you look.

I couldn't have picked out better lures for under $20. Maybe different colors, but all solid choices. I absolutely live the Walmart brand worm hooks. Can't beat them for the price unless you find a bulk pack of eagle claw.
