Bass Fishing Lake Wylie With A Local Hammer!

I will never turn down the chance to get out on a bass boat to chase down some bass with a friend!
Had fun buzzing around Lake Wylie with my friend David. We caught a few and managed to not let @boatdogmo put any hooks in our hands. Its the dog days of summer and the fishing is tough but we had a great time on the water and even caught a few fish.
Bizz Baits Dizzy Diamond rigged weedless on a drop shot did the major damage for me with the 3lber but the shakyhead proved to be the better numbers technique today!

Me and a buddy just got a old boat fixed up and started fishing Wylie, been out twice witn no luck, obviously I know it just takes time to become better at lake fishing, but any advice for Wylie specifically since we are local?

Man wylie is super tough right now, focus on docks and shade pockets. Maybe some deep points or ledges. But with all the pressure and super high temps the fishing is tough. Once water temps hit that magical 75 degree or lower range it'll really pick up.

Hambone Fishing yeah I know dog days are always rough. Thank you for the advice. We usually put in at Nivens Creek, live 5 min from it. For moving into fall any other tips. We are just trying to learn.

@@wingo4110 get yourself an a-rig, some True South Darters, 3 inch swimbaits, 20lb floro, and a rod that can handle an a-rig. All that can be purchased at Rusty Hook Bait and Tackle. You won't regret it. In the fall and winter I always have an a-rig
