This isn't the first video I've shot at this location, but on this particular day the Dutchman's Creek Access Area in Mount Holly, NC seemed to be calling my name. The day didn't start off very good. After missing several fish and fighting a relentless current, I eventually found a little pattern that seemed to work for both the stout spotted bass as well as a few morbidly obese catfish...

Usually when that water is flowing heavy the fishing is really good. I caught 27 bass on a rooster tail one time when the water was moving like that.

I bass fished in Southern Georgia, North Florida for 20 plus years, and it was very rare to catch the accidental catfish on artificial lures. I moved to NC for a few years and caught at least one catfish almost every time I went out fishing for bass. Moved to central florida 18 months ago and have been bass fishing several times a week. Haven't seen a catfish since I've been here. We have the same catfish species here as in the Carolinas. What is it about Carolina catfish!!?? That's really strange!

Hey buddy how you doing man. Man pedaling 2 hours & you still wasn't there? " WOW MAN " but I can see why it took so long to get there. You know that you got to catch a catfish man on the video man. I see you Kick the boots to the curb ? It's awesome to see you kayaking barefooted 👣 like I have too. I am just a huge huge huge barefooted 👣 guy because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are. Finding footwear that will fit me is very very extremely difficult to find for me so I just go Barefooted 👣 cuz it's a lot easier for me. Plus two I have to drive my car 🚗 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are & my feet 🦶 Touching both gas & brakes pedal at the same time. I Finally got on my Kayak memorial weekend & do some kayak camping 🏕. It was a blast man. You should try doing some kayak camping 🏕 man. We kayak & fish & camp at night time. We end up doing 42 miles me & my whole entire family & family friends. It was 18 of us on the water. My 6 boys & Granddaughter was just having a good old time. you take it easy buddy & see you next weekend buddy.
