Three of my largest bass have been on small baits. 2.5" tube jug, a tiny spinner bait, and a topwater fly. Love the videos.

My PB came on a modified 1/8 booyah spinnerbait, March 1st this year in the creek, mid channel.off the edge of buck bass bedding. I cought it on a medium rod w 8lb braid, she weighed 6lb 7oz.thx Steve! I've always got better fish mid day,and would even sleep in,and show up hrs after my buddy did,and he was shocked...that it happened. And shocked by the small profile I cought it on.all myths need to be scienced out personally, to get the best results. If it's dead calm a small bait has less splash entering the water. If it's a big bait toss it on the bank, and slide it in to the water slowly, and present it stealthy.or even long line it behind the boat through key choke points, around hvy cover.and fish those edges where 2 things come together, shell rock to grass,or drop offs, channel swings,or humps.all have gotten me hawgs throughout the season.

I routinely catch big fish on small baits. I recently caught a 4lb smallmouth on a 2 inch crappie bait.

I agree scent makes a big difference Strike coffee scent works great . They seem to hold it a lot longer. A lot of good info thanks for posting.

Thanks. One of my favorite scents I used in the past was Craw Cane. It was a powdered scent that you put in the bags of plastics. It worked really well, not even sure if it is still made.

I have caught several 4lb+ bass on a 2 inch senko. I have a decent size pond. Ruling out an impulse strike, on my pond, I have never caught the same fish on the same lure again. Please note, my pond does not have fishing pressure.

It is crazy how fish in a pond get wary of a lure so fast. I have seen the same thing around here. Thank you for watching!

Great video i fish jigs and soft plastic baits more than anything but i havent used a lot of sent but i can see where it could help what is your favorite sent to use?

One of my favorite scents I used in the past was called Craw Cane. It was basically powdered crawfish. I'm not sure if it is still made or not, but I would pour some of the powder in a bag of soft plastics. I had a lot of confidence in it and still have some left.

I know #10 is a myth because me and my brother fish local tournaments and we catch more fish from about 10 am til 2-2:30 pm than we do in the mornings

All these myths are from bad fishing trips. If you go to a great body of water, with a great fishery, you can prove every one of these wrong. The best I ever did is on St. Claire, you can take a 5 year old there and fill the boat. Come home to east KY and suck at it.

Great fisheries sure make a huge difference for sure!
