My family would always go to Saltwater beaches and go to Piers or bridges with just Spinning reels. Now I am getting use to Freshwater fishing with my new rod and reel which are my Zebco 404s and the Betkley Cherrywood HD casting rod. One day I might buy my own baitcaster for a spincaster.

More awesome content Glenn! I especially love number 9. When I first started bass fishing, I belonged to a San Francisco club called "The Bassholes." (That's why I'm "The Smiling BassHole.") I rode with another member because I didn't have my own boat. We'd leave the docks, race across the lake, and pull up to docks and fish. I always wondered: "Why didn't we fish the docks where we put in?" And now I fish every likely spot, believing I could connect. One bass can make an entire day! Thanks again!

Just getting into fishing and I’m aiming to learn how to catch a bass. Finding your channel, I did not know that bass behave differently depending on the weather, now I can fish smarter not harder. Now I only have just a newly bought fishing pole that’s a 10lb limit, so that’s why I’m aiming for the biggest fish I can catch with it, which is a bass. A largemouth bass, which I heard lurk my home’s waters and I’m itching to get out there and just start casting and reeling in, but one rule of thumb of an angler should do is be patient as not to scare the fish. I really enjoyed this video. Great tips, well thought out and well delivered. I was a tad bit surprised that you didn't mention practicing your hook set as one of your major tips. Without a great hook set technique you've lost both the bass and the day's bag. Hook ups that are too soft or rip the lip are extreme ends of the spectrum. Finding and mastering the "happy middle" lands the Bass and builds that needed confidence to the max. 💯🙌👍💞.

I'm kinda new but got my first bass by pitching a little white plastic grub under a tree near a pond bank midday. Just chucked it short and let it fall. Caught a pickerel like that too. They hit the grub on the fall, so I move it around a lot trying different areas but always just chucking it and letting it sink. Then trying again.

If it's not included in that video, line conditioner on a paper towel holding the line tight as your spooling can help, and even taking your full spool off and letting it soak in warm water after if you don't have any conditioner.
@fishy42815 жыл бұрын
Put your spool in a cup of warm water for 10 minutes
@Jenie3055 жыл бұрын
Simply take some line off your spool you may have to much on it , try this before spending money.

Thanks for the video big dog. Grew up fishin fishin for walleye, they're my favorite food. Above all other things. I'm in the south now, never fished for bass. I thought it was bad juju to take em home and eat em. Lol I've recently learned they're delicious and a southern friend put me on point and taught me how catch bass. I caught my PB a long time ago on accident. Lol walleyes waaaaaaayyyy better eating!!!
