I followed this technique by putting my trolling motor on my pond prowler on low and trolling a vision 110 jr while jerking it and then throwing a Ned rig senko when I put the brakes on once I caught fish. I caught 20 bass in 2 hours while using this technique when I usually only catch 1-2 an hour on the same lake 😉 - great tips!

Hey Tyler you need to do a video on fishing for bass with a snot bottom. The lake I fish the bottom is full of snot..you know that slimmy bottom..there's bass but whe I reel in, there's long slime over my worms..the only chance to connect is right before it disappears. I am in Bluefield w.v and there's only 3 lakes near me. I hooked the largest bass of my life back in May..it was taking all my drag but got about 3 ft from grabbing her and she did her last shake and spit it out. I have to say it had to be double digits...I cried. I am 67 and lived on Lanier and got many nice size bass, but this killed me..as they say local small lakes have big ones..very sad time of my life..thanks for the great work, David

I grew up pond fishing in nor cal. Their wasn't a whole lot of private property with in 35 miles of my house I hadn't trespassed on. We fished ponds like you are talking about covering water but also because the relative small size of ponds you could fish lots of types of structure quickly mud'rocks,heavy cover ect. You can learn within 1 small pond how to fish all different cover that might take you months and crazy miles on your boat in a lake maybe years. Definitely the FastTrack in my opinion

Wherever you go, get you some bags of: Lure- YUM BAITS "ELDER'S MAGIC" 4inch Hooks- Eagle Claw or Gamkatsu 3 ott EWG ( both a great choices affordable) Rig it weightless or texas rig, drag it slow on bottom when texas rig weighted, Weightless -You can fish it like a jerkbait and then let it fall, keep some slack bowed in the line when it's falling nd watch when that line jumps, twitches, ya know they got it, reel up slack THEN set hook with a nice sweep of the rod, use this in medium dirty water or deep clear water, GOOD LUCK!!🎣

Start with top water using a spinning bait with a willow an colorado blade. Chartreuse an white in dark water or June bug or black an blue, or a traditional spinning bait. Next try mid water using drop shot if you go into deeper water use longer leter line ideally 12 inches. Use up to 24 inches. Then try the bottom using a jig or lipless crank bait. In shallow water a square bill 2 to 4 feet or deep dive square bill up to 8 feet specifically if you're a bank angler. Baits to use. If you have 6 fishing rods you can set up all of these on each rod without having to spend too much time tying baits. It's best this way to fish fast pace changing baits every 10 minutes if no action after covering massive amounts of water

This is the content I look for , theory based . Well presented . For me this past weekend I went out and only got 3 bites . They were all short strikes on top water using a black frog and a black whopper plopper. When I got these I was picking apart the areas but fishing fast , I’m wondering if slowing down and finesse fishing more would have been the key to landing them .

I'm just the average Joe but I fished a club tournament 7 times and got lucky by winning one. Thing is, is that my buddy owned the boat we were in and it was his choice what we did. I believe we wasted time in places where had had caught fish before, moved to fast when we would catch a fish, and we never kept to a game plan with it not being my choice. Hope that helps
@phatpakbaits
@phatpakbaits 3 жыл бұрын
@@codyclark5226 the biggest question in bass fishing is always when do you leave a spot or change techniques, I think this is a general rule if u find fish in a spot work it but there’s no right answer. I watched a fluke master video on him summer fishing and he went back into a creek which had grass and got bit quick but than wasted 2 more hours fishing the creek without a bite and he specifically said he wishes he never got the bite . But this is basically why we fish , not knowing what to do or having all the pieces keeps us all going out and working at this thing . I think we all want a direct answer to things we can lean on but the more I hear experience and read about bass fishing every trip to that lake is independent of the last so always keep an open mind

Sadly I'm guilty of staying in one area too long. 1 cast each spot realling bait fast is good to keep in mind. That way we cover alot of area once bites occure you slow down. If after using that bait in alot of areas an no action best to switch bait after 10 minutes. Surprisingly one cast per spot fish lure fast you will for sure cover a ton of water
