Sometimes here in Texas during fall when the bass start schooling heavily we will use big pencil poppers or big pencil popper style baits that are made for strippers or Ocean , FLW forest wood cup last week on lake Murray in SC they were doing the same thing.

I have a lure that's around 8" long. It's called Mike the Pike and is designed for catching larger northern pike. This summer, the only thing I've caught on it are pretty big largemouth bass. lol

I left a little crankbait into something big. Wasn't happy about it. Was at a campground pond where we were staying so I'm hoping someone else caught it and got it. I know I had it hooked too. Knot came undone when reeling in

You would be surprised what Bass will eat! I have caught some very nice Bass on full size Bucktails. Too bad it won't let me post pics in the comments...

I bought my trolling Motor off the guy who invented the Medussa a few years back he was from Minnesota and a few month later I met him at the Chicago Muskie show to pick up motor. He has a truckload of those baits. I bought a few smaller ones and caught 2 Big Bass in south IL. on a black medussa in a strip pit and Kinkaid at night. I still use one sometimes in clear deep water. The paint jobs were a bit different back then on the Perch color , so it was worth going thru a bunch of baits.

i may sound stupid askin this, but what does it mean when a pond is "pressured"?
@jasontheryan7 жыл бұрын
Just means it is fished a lot. Locations that are easily accessible by the general public are typically "pressured" and you need to use different presentations to get the fish to bite.

nah, chris, the livetarget sunfish is for open water/ sparse weeds. the whole point of it looking natural is so the fish see it. throwing it on top of the mats is a waste of the design. ithrow it in open and/or sparse weeds. and for the mats I either punch, our throw an ish's phat frog
