For everyone wondering where this is, Chris, Jon and everyone who's fished here (myself included) found this by searching maps. Please open google maps and look for little blue lines...those are creeks, lol. If you find big green areas near them, those are parks and they should be public. I've found 4 creeks with miles of water with great smallie fishing here in northern IL this way. If I can do it, you can too, trust me, I'm an idiot!

Chris, you must be the only non-Aussie i know that uses Pflueger reels. do you have the Pflueger salt series over there? and if you do i would highly recommend them as they are almost completely salt and freshwater resistant.
@ajs84817 жыл бұрын
Pflueger reels are my favorite spinning reels and I'm in the US as well , they are so smooth 👍🏻never came across any salt series models though .

My fav vid of yours yet. Reminds me from the days as a kid in the 80's and Dad and I would walk and fish a spring fed tributary creek to the Meramec River in Missouri. So many great memories.

Hey Chris! Awesome video. Just wanted to let you know that your videos (along with Jon's) in which you wade these beautiful creeks and rivers, has really inspired me to pick up river/stream fishing. I'm actually going out to a popular river (the Deerfield in western MA) in a couple of days and trying my hand at smallies and trout. Hopefully apply some of the tips/knowledge I picked up from your guys' videos!

another great video Chris. Love getting to the back country and fishing on creeks that very few people have fished. You dont have to be a googan to be fantastic....keep it up sir....your concern and respect for the fish is very admirable...thanks for sharing. Would love to see you team up with Haights Wanderings in the upper pennisula Mi sometime. He fishes some of the most beautiful creeks and rivers I have ever seen. He could show you the running water and you could show him the great lakes....check him out please...big fan of both you guys.....Bill Jones, Chuckey, Tn..
