very true.he is the most inspired forgotten Bass legend in srilanka.i was inspired to play music watching rattle snake.Thilak dias was the biggest name every one knew those days.as every one says above, he is a truly humble music person.and shyamen,tony i still remember those beautiful days when u all were playing at OK DISCO,moragalla.tnx.

I have always been a fan of the Sri Lankan Bass Guitar Legend- 'Thilak Dias'. Being a big fan of the band Gypsies, I can categorically tell you that 'The Gypsies' sounded best when Thilak Dias was playing with them. It was nice to hear what other musicians had to say about him. What a great human being too?!!

My Good friend is a good fast Rock Drummer Raifai Towfeek , I will go with him to Anton house in Mt Lavinia , in 1980 , when they form Rattle Snake First Line up , Tilak , Kamala, Kirti I was there when they practice in Anton House , I think Jade is the Band Anton had , Tilak is very nice person God Bless You Tilak, take care

Maestro Thilak Dias, in one word a JEWEL in the field of music. Very humble multi-skilled musician who inspired a generation of upcoming bass guitarists. I was inspired by him, when started as a young bass player...just trying to imitate his tone, then had the privilege of performing with him. A true legendary musician who made his mark in Sri Lanka !
