In this video, I catch grasshoppers using a cast net to feed the fish and turtles. I caught over 30 grasshoppers and the bass, catfish and turtles loved them. Thank you guys for watching!!!

Agreed... had I known this was possible when I was a kid, grasshoppers would have become an endangered species in california. I knew hoppers were good live bait - but usually stuck to the ones I could catch easily (the smaller ones) the bigger strong flyers were better bait, but a pain to catch alot of. Then I discovered that the rebel crickhopper presented topwater (twitched to mimic in the fashion of a grasshopper) and an ultralight spinning rig worked magic. Bass, big bluegill, trout, monster green sunfish, crappie, even the occasional catfish... they all hit the crickhopper.

Awesome video and I have used grasshoppers before at a pond and I've caught a 2 lb largemouth bass out of it too bass will practically hit on anything worms grasshoppers crickets and more
