Glad everbody survived the cold and getting thier appetites back! We had a winter storm where i live at a couple of weeks ago. Love seeing the gar up close.

Hoping you add sturgeon, a chinese wels as it can live in cool and warm water, and possibly paddle fish but you would need to feed often lots of pellets for it to survive.

So glad how well this pond has turned out. So awesome following along

Would you ever consider adding a big decorative stump in the middle of the pond for a cool look and added fish structure? Maybe it would help the bass spawn more successfully as well if you want that for the pond
@TheFishWhisperer15 сағат бұрын
Yes that would be cool if I found the right stump!

The pond is amazing! I’m curious how much does it cost to maintain? Gotta hit that number in investment before I retire.
@TheFishWhisperer15 сағат бұрын
Thanks! It’s fairly maintenance free but costs about $100 a month in electricity for the pumps.
@tracybowling11568 сағат бұрын
It'll be interesting to watch you cleaning the pond. I will guess a sturgeon bc they are so cool!

Beautiful! I would put something in the middle for cover (tree or island made out of rocks/etc.). Fish like cover.

Do you have any plans to provide some sort of cover for when the bass spawn? Yes the bass will defend their eggs and young fry diligently but after that they will be on the menu for even their parents.
@TheFishWhisperer18 сағат бұрын
I believe Bertha and Billy are both female so a spawn is not likely. Although if they were to spawn, I would most likely relocate the baby bass as a pond that small couldn’t handle thousands of bass.

So how are those tilapia that survived being eaten?
