Nice fishing, man. Fellow South Carolinian (Grand Strand area) here. I was wondering your thoughts on the Jackson Bite FD. I have been strongly considering buying this kayak. I heard you say you liked it over the Hobie. It seems ideal for the inlet, ponds and small lakes. Appears very manageable on paper. Mixed reviews on the internet and not a whole lot of KZbin reviews. What are your thoughts on stability, maneuverability, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Fish on

Thanks, Stephen! I have a couple different review videos of it on here, somewhere. It is very stable. I have thrown cast nets and such with no worries. It's very fast without fatigue, my knees love it. It doesn't turn super tight, but I may be biased as my old Outback turned very sharp. Overall, I love it, but wish it had more storage.

I speak about it pretty thoroughly in this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKPOiaanZryGb7M

Great insights! Many thanks and spot on with your reply. Much appreciated. Others have noted about the turning radius, but I can deal with that for sure. Too many other positives to ignore. I especially like the instant reverse and the oyster bed “friendliness” of the drive system. Tried a Hobie a few times and I just didn’t jive with the back and forth pedal pumping leg action.
