Ok I resend my original statement, if I blast my volume I hear the difference. Im sure in person the difference was much more dramatic. So should I have a port sticking out of my sub box in my car. Because that might look kinda silly !

The small port results in a tighter, quicker sounding bass, the bigger one results in a boomier, if not thumpier bass (my fave). One is not better than the other. Tune to taste.

не корректное сравнение, фазики, всё же разные, точнее частота у них может быть одна, а вот добротность... возможно параметры добротности бумажного в конкретном объёме банки, лучше отыгрывают в сравнении с пластиком, и тут дело, вовсе не в материалле, а в общих параметрах, которые более сбалансированны. з.ы. с бумажным звучит более упруго, хотя, возможно тут уже заметно влияние помещения, которое является частью системы, замеряемого излучателя.

for me, practical sound is better than theory. according to theory, the cross section of the phase inverter the more the better, right up to the area of the speaker diffuser

Couldn’t disagree it works what size of speaker woofer are you running on those cabs ? I had done this in a 4” woofer if I’m not wrong . Any speaker designers here stealing ideas hahaha jk néw developers noticing ways to make better boxes
