I am glad that you predicted correctly that after she went low after the big chorus, that there will be a climactic ending to the song, and I Iiked seeing your reaction when the big moment came. It is a delight to see that for someone like you who have listened to so many singers and vocalists, you still get impressed by Morissette. If you will watch and listen to the whole song continuously without pauses, there is a big chance that you will feel the goosebumps, as many of us and other reactors have experienced. Notice her vocal techniques/styles corresponds to the words/lyrics as she sings. Ola Pietro, It is absolutely imperative that you give EVA CASSIDY a listen. She left us a small body of work, as many recordings as she could before she died of Cancer in November, 1996. Her renditions of "Autumn Leaves" and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," are the most beautiful I have ever heard in my 60 years as a Musician. She was also an accomplished Guitarist. The tone of her voice was like no other I've ever heard, immediately distinguishable. Her musicality, her choices and in particular at times very different phrasing are what caught my attention. This was an epic rendition from Mori. Fun fact tho, did you know that she was sick during this performance? She was superb enough to not make it obvious. And if you’re interested to see her perform the same song with a different arrangement with an acapella group called 3rd Avenue, you may want to check that out.
