Great video. At least you hooked one. Im struggling to buy a bite at the minute. I add a few short pauses to my retreive. Keep at it.

Thanks I appreciate it, yes if they had been a little more switched on I think it could have been a red letter day... i missed 2 or 3 real line tugging takes , I think i may swap back to wider gape single hooks to ensure good hookup. Thanks for watching

Fished that mark last weekend from pre-dawn with lures and bait. Although I got a couple of small bites on the bait, I blanked once again. Lovely spot for early mornings but find it gets busy fairly quickly. Good to see there are bass there sometimes. Got a bunch of new lures so might head that way again soon for a session.

Great video, had days like that, fish around Chicester harbour lure and fly. The Patchinkos a great surface, interesting comment on trebles over single hooks, have thought about just putting barbless end trebles back?

Thanks Chris, I actually grew up in Langstone Harbour... so I know Chichester well. Regarding trebles, if possible I do prefer to replace with singles.... but on this lure I have actually gone back to trebles as I felt the hookup ratio fell. Thanks for watching guy

Hi mate, another great video, and another "Like" that disappeared!!! I cann't believe it! I am 100% sure I already watched ALL your Bass videos, and liked ALL of them ... bizarre! Anyway, I am really amazed by the water clarity. Nothing to have with the murky colour I am used to whenever I go to Kent beaches (even in non windy days). Cheers

Great video! Didn’t realise you were local around here. I live in Herne Bay and fish all over kent, lure and bait at sea. I’ve been using the larger patchinko mainly around the rock marks in Thanet. I find that dusk proves much more productive than dawn. Also your comment about the 40 minutes of action at Whitstable plays true. The bass move along the whole coast with the tide so they are in the area for a very short time, go a few miles west and you will find the bass held in position for longer :) perhaps bump into you one day 👍

I must be perfectly honest I have not yet fished the street, but have seen others fish both lure & fly and usually it's been on the flood tide, not sure if tide hight and push would have any better effect ? A good source of information is Rollie @ Ron Edwards fishing tackle shop in Herne bay. I think if I remember correctly he mainly fly fishes around Hampton bay pier, a nice looking rocky area both alongside opposite the pub + off the end it's rocky too. And the tide pushes quite hard across there side on, both flood and ebb. Good luck, I will be hopefully fishing next time im down there, spinning, very soon. Cheers Les.

Good bit of filming 🎥 know exactly where you are on this one, there's normally a bass or three knocking about along there. Have you tried shorts n' beach shoes ?? Have a walk out on the street and try fishing the incoming tide ?? Stick at it buddy. Have you tried Hampton pier area? Or the rocks at Herne bay harbour? Cheers Les.

Hi guy When the title popped up i thought boring. Sea fishing has never appealed to me🙁 However it's just the same as a river lake or canal. I'll look forward to seeing your next bass attempt and fingers crossed you'll smash it. Where was that ? So very tight lines bud 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

Hi Gavin, i think lure fishing for bass is honestly one of the most explosive types of fishing we have in the UK. Its just finding the little (and not so little ) blighters!!

Brilliant video Guy I’ve now settled in Cornwall had few sessions learning or should I say relearning my freshwater lure fishing and applying those techniques to salt. I had success with wrasse Gar fish pollock not Bass yet but I’m really Intrested in trying from beach once spring is here what kind of beach should I be looking for I see on the video your beach had deep shelf between the breakers is the kind of beach I need to find ?

I'm no bass expert, but ive found places where there are good currents and features like kelp beds, sandbars, rock pinnacles, estuary inlets. Basically places where bass can ambush their prey. Ive found its usually very dependant on tide. My beach works best the 2 hours running upto high tide, ive fished beaches in france which work best 2 hours before low tide or on the flooding tide. Being Cornwall I would find some rocky outcrop with rocky features within casting distance. Hope that helps
