A slow day but at least you got super. It's really amazing how much tackle has improved. In my sea fishing days it was big wooden reels and cotton lines that had to be washed to get the salt out and dried afterwards. I remember how excited we got when solid glass fiber rods were introduced. My beachcaster was made of cane with a greenheart top, it had a wooden handle. Better luck next time.

Ohh I’ll take that as a good day ! Couple of keepable bass and I suppose a shore PB pout 🤣😉 appreciate the watch and comments as usual I still remember going from glass to a carbon mix and I thought I was fishing in the future ! Happy days I should try and cast woth an old split cane - not far but be funny to see. Thanks again mate

My beachcaster wasn't split came, I couldn't afford one, it was whole cane with as I said a greenheart top. Happy days? keep fishing.

Not a bad session at all 2 cracking bass and a very good pouting. I love your cast. I've tried it so many times and just loose the led just end up hitting the rod or nearly smashing my teeth out hahahaha great video as always matt all the best tight lines 🎣🎣🎣

Thanks - oh my don’t take casting advice from me ! Although the half pendulum I use is effective enough. I was actually quite pleased with the pout to be fair 🤭

Good upload, I think when it comes to bait fishing for bass casting to bang on the spot and the right length of run is key to big bass I find,bait fishing,livebait is more keeping it in the right area for as long as you can, float fished or ledger , it’s much easier said than done but lol tightlines 😎🐟

Love the channel,great videos and content. Love lure fishing but every now and then you've got to go back to the bait. Keep it real 💯 🎣
@SaltwaterAngler2 ай бұрын
Thanks yes indeed its the conditions that dictate the fishing this far east unfortunately. Close second to the lure fishing the oother advantage with the bait is that i don't come home exhausted !

@@SaltwaterAngler I'm going to cram a quick hour in now if I can. Going to try a new mark I found on maps . Surface lures as the light goes no matter what state of tide has been the most successful for me this year 🎣

Great stuff Matt, what a good session! I was out fishing yesterday too, took a day off & headed down to East Devon, similar sea conditions to yours but bright and sunny. No bass for me unfortunately, but had a very large wrasse. I'm going to find out what it tastes like tonight!

Great news - I’ve never tasted one always remember someone saying they are bony ( arnt all fish ?)

Do you use bait elastic?
@SaltwaterAngler2 ай бұрын
Yes great stuff not usually on worms though
@JPB780Ай бұрын
@ Why not? Does the elastic cut through them?
@SaltwaterAnglerАй бұрын
@@JPB780 loosly wrapped is fine but when using bait stops on a decent hook. you dont need the elastic. Makes for a better presentation more natural looking without it.
