Bass Tracker Heritage/Classic cracked front lip?

I was one of the first to have mine crack. Be glad it lasted the three years. Mine cracked twice in one year 🤣 my repair center added a plank within with fasteners to stiffen the area, and added a grotesque amount of aluminum via weld to the affected area

Mark, a few users with Ulterra 80lb trolling motors experienced the same issues, one on the other side too. Your damage looks at or just above the weld. Mine was above the the weld. There was a change in production, since we have not seen similar issues with the classic owners. In my opinion Tracker identified the issue and made improvements on later models. I believe there are some with stock edge motors that may have similar issues but have not noticed or reported them yet. I don’t believe it’s due to the terrova or the puck since several ulterras have caused the same issues.

The Ulterra and Terrova mount in the same way where they are pushed as far forward on the bow as possible putting all the weight above the weld, I believe the stress of the weight there is a major point of the issue.

There’s a review out there where this happened on a big lake. I think it was in Michigan and the boat sunk. They got off the boat onto a shipping Bouie until the coast guard could rescue them

I feel like I know exactly which one you are talking about and I'm almost 99.9% positive that the boat was a fiberglass rig.

Pretty sure that was a ranger, the front fiberglass hull seperated.

Yup you right Mark🤓I feel the same. I had no problem untill I put the Terrova on. Good trolling motor bad mount design in my OPINION😬😬😬

Mark, focus on fishing Table Rock where the big money is. Heck, Bull Shoals is your home waters & there's no doubt in my mind that you'll place there no problem. That million dollars tho is all dependent on how well you can fish Table Rock. Good luck, hope the boat gets fixed good as new.

I really feel you should have put on and ultrex trolling motor , they are designed for bass boats. it totally would have eliminated the issue you had with running the transducer wire. i have a 2019 pro 160 and have and ultex 80 lb thrust and it is a game changer , they also mount just like the EDGE that came on the boat.

The Minnkota puck is the problem Mark it doesn't properly support the 80 thrust trolling motor. Also if you tell bass pro you put an 80 thrust it will void warranty....reach out to me so I can advise u

I'm with you Mark I don't think it's the weld. I can't remember what pound thrust you have but i don't think these boats are design for anything bigger than a 55 lb thrust motor. You'll get it fixed in time so concentrate on fishing. Good luck!

Mine came with 42 thrust trolling motor but the problem is when you mount that fiberglass puck it doesn't strengthen the deck. It finds the weak spot at the front of the boat.

have you always had the stabilizer on the boat for the head of the terrrova? just trying to see if this happens with stabilizer from day one, hope that makes sense 👍 Thanks mark!

You know I think those of us that got our boats manufactured early may have had better welds on our boats. They may have taken a better time at building them then. Then the orders came flooding in for these boats and they even shut down production on the other boat to build ours. One they got overwhelmed with orders then production most likely got sloppy to get the orders out. Whatever the case is we are all most likely going to see structure damage happen. Not what anyone wants.

I got mine ten weeks after they went on sale I believe my welds were good. Too much stress in that area.

@@MarkBlackstock I got the next one the classic when it came out. I got mine that April. I installed the Terrova on mine soon after with no issues so far. Time will tell. So many are having issues very early within months or even less than a year old. Well hope the repair goes well on your boat.

Take the mount off now. I can tell you now you're welder guy is going to want it off, so save yourself and the guy who's welding it the issue of waiting for you to take it off at his place

@@motoman3290 It doesnt move when supported the torque being applied is when thrust is called for you can physically see it flex I could not see that with the edge, now the majority of people that are seeing this happen with their boats have the 80lb Terrova or Ulterra

Dang the welding already happened well I really hope it holds Mark. Bass Pro sent my boat off to get rewelded and it came apart within 2 weeks. Ultimately they ended up installing heavier aluminum deck that is almost 1/2 inch thick. They also upgraded the minnkota mount with a metal solid mount that's more rigid. You need to change the fiberglass mount or it will happen again. Good luck hoping for a good outcome.
